Perfect Attendance – It’s a new year
Madison School encourages students to be at school every day possible. We ask parents to call our office with an explanation for their child's absence by no later than 8:30 A.M. on the day of the absence. The Attendance Hotline number is 633-4531 option 2. Please be sure to state student name, date, and the reason for the absence. A drawing is also held for a $10.00 gift certificate per grade level each nine-week grading period. A $25.00 gift certificate awarded to each student earning the N.E.A.T. (Never Ever Absent or Tardy) recognition for the school year. A grand prize drawing will be held on the last day of school each year for students with perfect attendance for all four grading periods. We appreciate our Madison School PTO providing these great incentives for school attendance. Student bicycles provided by the Madison Twp. Alumni Assn.

Madison Elementary Welcomes Ryan Towner
On Thursday, May 7, Principal Aaron Leniski shared with his staff his decision to accept the job of Director of Athletics and Student Activities at Penn High School. Mr. Leniski informed parents of his decision in a letter dated May 8. (Here is a copy of that letter.) It was not an easy decision to make, as he has truly loved his years at Madison and grown close to that community. The students, staff and parents that make up Madison Elementary School are kind, generous, welcoming, engaged and supportive. It's those very attributes that will make the transition for incoming principal Ryan Towner all the easier.
Mr. Towner spent the 2014-2015 school year as Assistant to the Principal at Walt Disney Elementary School, working with acting Principal Mickey Roelandts to provide great leadership, vision and stability. Prior to that he served an administrative internship at Madison, supporting the success of that school community. His years as a teacher at Prairie Vista also contribute to the body of experience that has prepared Ryan to be a great school leader. The Madison community will be looking forward to welcoming him back this fall.
Dr. Jerry Thacker (left) and School Board vice president Larry Beehler (right) congratulate Aaron Leniski and Ryan Towner on their new appointments.
