PTO LEARNINGSPHERE

The Madison PTO LearningSphere with the emphasis on LEARNING opened to the community on February 6 from 6:30 to 7:30pm. Students in grades kindergarten through third had the option to create a project on a topic of interest to them. Students in fourth and fifth grades mentored by staff, parents, and our judges used scientific methods to select a topic of their choice and gather data. Students prepared and presented their project for classmates and were individually interviewed by our judges.

100th Day of School Activities

Thursday, February 2 Madison students celebrated their 100th Day of School.

In kindergarten, Mrs. Julie Unrue let her students choose how they would celebrate the milestone. The theme and planning of the party was all up to them!

Students loved the Junie B. Jones book ”Slumber Party” so much, that’s what the students choose as their theme. During morning PE class, the children created cup sculptures using, you guessed it … 100 cups!

Older Panthers marked the centennial milestone with a poster contest.

Madison Students along with family members brought their bikes, scooters and walking shoes to Madison by 9 am on a Saturday, October 1, 2016.

Art Smart - Creativity in the Fall Season

Madison students used their Art Smart moments to create fine fall works of art now on display in the student gallery.

  • Kindergarten friends created a pumpkin patch utilizing the printmaking skills of Albrecht Durer.
  • Grade one students explored Georges-Pierre Seurat’s concept of pointillism to create solid space of color, fall leaves, using dots of two or more colors in an area.
