Running Is Elementary 2018

“Running is Elementary” is gearing up for another great year! This is the 10th year for the one mile, non-competitive run which will feature the participation of almost 700 fourth and fifth grade students from all 11 P-H-M elementary schools. This event is free to students and takes place on the Penn cross-country course located behind Elm Road Elementary School.

 

Non-resident enrollment window for 2018-19 school year NOW OPEN

The window to apply for 2018-19 school year non-resident enrollment is now open. The open non-resident application window is Feb. 20, 2018 – March 9, 2018. 

 

P-H-M is accepting a limited amount of elementary spots only at Mary Frank and Madison Elementary Schools.

Parent * Student * Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Student Conferences will be conducted on Tuesday, October 24 from 2:30—7:00 pm and on Wednesday, October 25 from 2:30 to 5:00 PM. Teachers will be sending you an invitation on October 11 stating the day and time of your conference.  Please return a confirmation on or before October 16.  Teachers do their best to accommodate families by scheduling conferences together. We look forward to meeting with you

P-H-M Ranks in Top 4% of Indiana School Districts

With the release of the Spring 2017 ISTEP+ results, Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation now ranks in the state’s top 4% of public school districts.

 

Based on both Math and ELA pass results of grades 3-8, P-H-M ranks 12th out of all 292 public school districts in Indiana. For grade 10, P-H-M ranks 9th out of all 292 public school corporations—the Michiana area’s only public school district to make the top 20!

 

PHM Welcomes New Teachers

Next Wednesday, Aug. 23 is the first day for grades 1-12 (Thursday, August 24th for Kindergarten), but today Penn-Harris-Madison’s newest teachers had their first day of school!

It was a busy New Teacher Orientation Day for this group of creative, talented and energetic teachers. This year P-H-M hired 41 new elementary, middle and high school teachers, as well Exceptional Education professional staff.

 

Sign up announced for Penn Girls Basketball League

All female P-H-M students grades 3-8 are invited to participate in a community-sponsored girls basketball league. The league begins on Sunday, September 10 and sign-ups are Sunday, August 27 in the Penn High School Arena from Noon – 2 p.m. The "Junior League" is for grades 3-6 and the "Senior League" is for 7th and 8th graders.
